WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO CLEAN YOUR FIREARM?

• Avoid damaging your weapon: You likely know that cleaning is an essential part of gun ownership. But you might not know that improper cleaning can result in increased rust or total weapon damage. Learning proper cleaning methods in person from a firearms expert will help you keep your gun in top condition.
• Familiarize yourself with your firearm: By repeatedly disassembling and reassembling your gun for cleaning, you’ll develop a more intimate knowledge of how your particular model functions. This knowledge is especially useful if your gun ever stops working. By becoming familiar with its parts during cleaning, you’ll have a better idea of what’s wrong and how to fix it.
• Spot early signs of wear: When you clean your own gun regularly, you can take the time to inspect every piece for wear and tear. As you learn what the pieces are supposed to look like, you can more easily determine when a part is going bad and when to replace it to avoid firearm damage.
